Honor Magic Performance and Software

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Honor Magic is powered by the Kirin 950 chipset with a 16 nm architecture, featuring an octa-core processor (four Cortex-A72 cores at 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8 GHz). This powerful setup is complemented by the Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, making the device capable of handling most applications and multi-tasking with relative ease, though it may show its age with more modern, resource-intensive applications.

The Magic initially came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, overlaid with Honor's proprietary Magic Live UI. This software combination was designed to optimize user experience with AI-driven personal assistance features and was relatively user-friendly, albeit somewhat less intuitive compared to later iterations of Android.
